Weird graphics bug w/ ATI Catalyst 8.7

Anyone else getting these with your ATI cards? I have a new 4870 and I'm only having issues with it in Civ4 of all things.

Sorry, no answers from me, but I have exactly the same problem (have an ATI HD4850) as you do, albeit in a different game, Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance (Civ4 runs fine for me). If someone can offer a solution for this, it would be most appreciated. Thanks.

You'd get a better response on a hardware forum (Tom's Hardware or [H]ard[F]orum) or the ATi forum.

I have an ATI 2600 Pro. BtS gets stuck on loading Python, it tells me that some parameters are incorrect. Is this because of the video card?

Was anybody able to fix this? I'm having the same problem with HD4670 and X1950 (which I replaced with 4670 thinking that it is the problem ).

It tends to happen only later on in the game, sometime around the discovery of combustion... everything slows down to a halt, and I start getting weird artifacts .

How much video RAM do you have on your card? You need at least 256MB to play Civ4 later in the game. Otherwise, you could see bugs like that.

I have 512MB on it -- that shouldn't be the problem.
