Weird hang/crash (reproducable)

Hi,

I have CIV3 complete UK version (no patches). XPSP2 on HP/Compaq Evo D310.

Every time if I attempt to move an object (ship, solider etc) and the destination circle cursor reaches the top or bottom of the screen then CIV3 hangs forever.

If I look on task manager I see "Not responding" and it uses almost 100% CPU. I then have to stop it and lose my game.

I do have the latest video drivers and everything else should be up to date.

Any ideas?

Just to throw a few ideas out: A virus perhaps? Are you using a crack?

I have a fully up to date virus checker. I don't use cracks.

well maybe you are using to much cpu, how much do u got? my old computer that i used to play on had 660mhz cpu, and it frove here and there, it really freezes on big maps. but just wait and it unfreezes.

I tried installing on another machine to eliminate driver issues. It also does the same thing there.

I have tried waiting a long time but it does not unfreeze.
