When playing a game like Total War or EUII or any other grand strategy game ever just had a scenario that just didn't make any sense? What was the most alternate history scenario that just happened in one of your games?

Here is me in EUIII: While I was England I just conquered most of the British Iles I wondered what France was up to and I saw that for some reason he has conquered most of southern Italy in the 1400s! How strange is that!?

Crusader Kings II: Scotland owns all of Arabia and the Horn of Africa.

Victoria: I (Sokoto) colonized all of Africa. China controlled all of Europe. Prussia controlled all of United States.

Europa Universalis III: the Papal State annex France and Italy and owns colonies in India

This is in EU3 "complete" (minus the two expansions).

* The Golden Horde was Orthodox.

They apparently had a religious rebellion which converted their provinces, and being at a perpetual state of war, were eventually conquered, but then revolted.

* 2nd would probably be a Shintoist (by Ryukyu of all things!) Oman.

Don't ask how that happened. I have no idea. Might've been a chain of alliances from India to SE Asia or China, then Ryukyu. It eventually revolted and became Shintoist.

* Lybia somehow managed to respawn somewhere in central Africa after being conquered. I think there must've been some left over nationalists that conquered one of the central African nations. They were one of the pagan religions I think, but were doing quite well, too.

for civ 4 but whatever...:

gandhi almost always becomes an angry theocratic warmonger when i set it to random personalities. qin shi huang and alexander the not-so-great always had weak empires in most game. they're always second last in score or dead last.

shadow president(olde DOS USA prez sim):
just after i virtually created world peace through extensive trade deals with all the "enemies" of USA USA including the then soviet russia, someone assassinates me. my approval rating was ~40%.
