of all the good starts ive had this was the best

ps if your stupid im being sarcastic

Whats so bad about that? You have Crabs AND Clams

And don't get me started on the amazing defences

Well being the coast circles the island you wont be able to found land until the city expands 4 times in culture. Considering it will take 120 turns to build a temple in there I dont see this happening soon. So your waiting on your 4th border expansion (all this time unable to compete with wonders.) Or your waiting for Astronomy. I would reload myself and I hardly ever reload.

lol that would be haoc

At least you could skip all of the land improvement techs. =oP

One tile starts do suck unless your on a very low difficulty level.

Reason is because one tile means very low productivity and low science because you only have one city.

If you are surrounded by ocean you will surely lose the space race. You cannot keep up in tech with one city all the way to astronomy.

So i say it sucks, but if you want a challenge go for it!

But it would be extremely boring to me.

Just turn off all the victory settings

That way, you can't lose :p

I should stop posting now...:mischief:

Well, at least you won't have to worry about making any workers. ;)

ps if your stupid im being sarcastic

So, if I'm not stupid, that means you're serious, right?

's actually a good location for a city, just not your capital. You can always use the whip for production, mind.

Why are your warriors a bunch of mini-me warriors? A mod?

CivScale, I expect; comes with the Blue Marble terrain (or separately from the same page) and lets you alter the scaling on things. 's the same reason my interface is grey rather than blue.

I'm not sure how slavery works, i never used it becuase unless i've got population growth out of control, i.e. surrounded by flood plains it's not worth waiting for population to regrow. But if you've got all those resourses surely you could use slavery to build some stuff faster?

maybe not i dont know 8-(

Oh what are you whining about - you start with Fishing, don't you?

Mongolia on that start, now you'd have something to complain about (Hunting and The Wheel, yeah, those work great here). Maybe Animal Husbandry will reveal sea horses.

beefonthebone, i should have known someone with zoidbberg as their avatar would beat me to the punch. i was reading along thinking "i can't believe no one suggested slavery". fish, crabs, and clams? that's big time hammers once you begin the creul oppression! of course, the total inability to explore or even meet other civs (most likely) will cripple you to the point of no-victory-possible, especially since no matter how much culture you get, it'll remain a fat cross, since culture only goes 2 tiles over water.
