what am i doing wrong? (Savegames included!!!)

I played the game 7 civilizations on hardest level on the earth map....

Here are several savegames from several different points in the game, someone tell me what im doing wrong here...

The americans got WAY more advanced than me, but im using diplomats to steal technology and incite revolts to get some tech back...

I am using all my cities to build and sell city walls to finance the city revolts but everyone is pissed off, i cant keep most cities from revolting...

feel free to play the savegames, look at what i was doing and tell me what i did wrong...

From what I've seen there are a few things that I would do different. It appears that you were going for a conquest game: just build a huge amount of chariots and just flood the enemy. To do that you need the cities to be packed closer, when doing that your cities are defending eachother: intruders can't reach the inner cities so you don't have to fear losing a city. Also build roads to connect the cities, units can move faster to the place you want them to go. Also roads will generate trade which gives you money so that you don't need to buy and sell city walls.

Anyway, you're playing emperor, it's hard to win so don't feel bad that you lost!
