What are the largest/latest modpacks?

I'm a huge fan of the epic modpack "rise of mankind: a new dawn". The build I had was roughly 1.8gb and changed Civ IV completely. Of course at 32 bit it never makes it to the end of a full game with a giant map, but a different story here.

I haven't followed the Civfantatics forum in 1.5 years. Could anyone recommend something that has gotten bigger/more expansive than this build? I got the sense that after the latest build (somewhere around 1.8+) it was abandoned.

Well, five mins of strolling around the main mods will ineluctably lead to C2C (Cavemen To Cosmo), the largest of the largest mods.

And seems they managed to clear the Memory Allocation Failure problems with a new implementation, meaning truly large maps played well into the game are possible now.

I'm actually more appreciative of you introducing me to the word inelcutably than anything else. I am a writer and still have never come across that word.

Ok, I admit that wasn't particularly kind of mine. It's roaming around the forums and helping made me a little caustic and pissed over time. And helping got me more b*tch slap than appreciations. And no, I was not caustic at all originally. It suffices of only 10% of users to ruin a day. :(
But that is another story...

What I meant is certain times, a simple question is answered by simple tasks done oneself. Doing a search here:

will lead to there:

And thus this thread.

This wasn't the way I found C2C originally, but it took only 5 mins with this method. It's factual, that's all.

But hey, you got an answer! That's better than nothing. Since it's typical in these forums to be ignored. Even for ridiculously easy to answer questions...

Oh and, the word exists, but I don't know its recurrence amongst english natives. In french, it is typical word (i.e. "inéluctablement"), so I used it on automation. And I knew it existed in english.
And one writer doesn't need to know the dictionary; it's the capacity to make great stories that counts above all.
I think verbose writing is something more of the past.

EDIT: And, btw, I'm pathetic in making stories ;) Better with word plays because of crosswords I guess...

Biggest? Definitely Caveman 2 Cosmos by a long shot.

Best? That's more a matter of opinion than anything, but I'd personally recommend Rhye's and Fall of Civilization, RFC: Dawn of Civilization, The Sword of Islam, and Fall from Heaven.
