Since the game will have editing tools making fans able to easily create Civs and scenario, what Civ/Scenario will you create??

For me, I will create Carthagineans (people from Carthage, anyway) and I will create battles between Romans and people from Carthage. Hannibal will be the chief of Carthaginean army and they will try to invade Italia...

I can't wait to play that game:crazyeyes

Well, scenarios as always suffer from a lack of scale, with smaller worlds, and a measely 16 civs existing at one time. Never the less, I would love to capture the "Hundred Years War" conflict in the global context it deserves. What will be essential in making this possible is fixing what techs, and WHEN they can be discovered, forcing civs to "shup up and deal" with what they've got. There is a certain charm to playing Pre-Industrial scenarios, but the idea of seeing something like "Carthaginians aqcuire Fusion Power from the Selucid Greeks" still makes me chuckle.

It would require a TON of work, but a Mod-Pack based on "the Simpsons" would be a blast, just making it.
one of the wonders would be "The Sun Blocker"
"Since the dawn of Time, man has tried to destroy the Sun"
-C. Montgomery Burns-

I would create a civ called The Annexians (anyone seen Naked Lunch?). Their capital would be Interzone, their leader would be Dr. Benway, and their special unit would be Mugwumps which would be an improvement on modern mechanized infantry. Their attributes would be scientific & commercial.

The scenario I would make would be to recreate the twentieth century - starting with Germany like it looked under Wilhelm II, Russia like it was under Tsar Nicholas, the French Republic, the British Empire in its glory days, and America as a developing but isolated industrial giant. China still an ancient and exploited Empire, Japan as a developing militaristic nation. See how things could have played out differently.

BIG QUESTION!

I'll make whatever historical simulation that fascinates me. I'll probably remake my Civ2 projects, and make them even better with the new editing tools.

I do hope, however, that the *flexible* editors will make scenario-making a little more "hands on" with less time spent working around the game engine. I sincerely hope they'll left some room for "alternative" scenario types, like gang wars, quest type games, scens with lots of events etc. And I hope the options for graphics modifications are at least just as flexible as with Civ2.

Scenario, eh? I suppose I'll open with a nice "Age of Exploration" sim and utilize the culture feature to realistically portray the native Americans demise.

And then 1776....so I can pound the crap out of the Yanks!

If you're gonna make it a "realistic" 1776 scenario, don't forget to be at war with the French, Spanish, Dutch. No way America gets independence if Great Britian only has that one puny colony to deal with.

WW2...

I want to make a rebellion scenario, perhaps one of the major cossack rebellions in Russia or the Taiping rebellion.

If I have time,

I will try to make a map of Italy, North Africa, Eastern Spain and Western Greece. A scenario with the Romans, Estruscans, Gauls, Greeks and Carthaginians (+ 2 others) from 509bc (the start of the conquest of Italy) to 202bc (when Hannibal was defeated at Zama).

Being English, I would like to have a map of Britian with the Scots (or Dalriada and Strath-clyde), Welsh (Gwynedd), Northumbria, Sussex/Kent, Mercia, Wessex and Essex/East Anglia. Set in the 800s.

And if the world map is similiar to the Civ II one, I will do my own!

Scenario: Time 10th to 11th Century - Goal to Unite Ireland and kick out the Vikings (or playing as the Vikings, take over entire island). The Civs: Munster, Leinster, Ulster, Connaught, Vikings.

Feudal Japan and / or Japanese invasion of Korea.

I think I would like to re-create world war 1. i think to much attention has been paid to WW2 so I would like to re-create the tensions and web of alliances that drew the world into war to see how it could play out.
Another angle on WW2 that would be interesting is to see what would of happened if the policy of appeasment had not been carried out or perhaps what would have happened had the US not been attacked at pearl harbour and thus not entered the war.

So many possibilites, I can't wait.

Why does it have to be "real-life"?

I want the Borg vs. the Dominion. With the Federation trapped in the middle.

Think how "cool" of units you could make for the Borg. Or would they all look the same ;)

China after the end of the Han - i.e. the Romance of the Three Kingdoms period. And with the great leaders units, well it can only be better. I notice that apart from the Koei games, there aren't many good games on that period (except for Fate of the Dragon maybe).
Also some of the historical periods of Imperial China like the early Tang and the Warring States.
But only if I have the time........:(

I'll create a scenario of the Arab conquests (AD 632-750), just like I did for Civ2. I'm almost sure they'll include one like that with the game (like they did with Civ2 scenarios), but I'm willing to bet mine will be better :D And anyone who even thinks of creating that one before I do will die a painful death :D
