What CIV do you miss?

The Mongols were definitely the best Civ to go. I especially loved them in Civ I. I wonder what their UU would be?
Well, since the idea of unique units is ripped off from Age of Empires II, why not use Mangudai (fast horse archers) for the Mongols?

i really miss the celts from civ II.

They had cool city names, and I was looking forward to a celtic unique unit, although i have no idea what it would be.
Using the same idea, use the Woad Raider (fast infantry, painted blue, with a club-sword thing.)

SEMPRE VICTORIA PORTUGUESA

i miss the mighty portuguise
there has been a large discussion bout them but then closed by yankee administrators
so again: I WANT THE PORTUGUISE IN!!!!

another unique civ could be the SOZIALISTS
a bunch of freedom fighters with no cities but camps
with special support from the citizen of other civs
using only special units like special spys
and fast moving tank busta units
no corruption
tribal rule style (every single camp acts autonomous and u need to ask em every time for support)
like the only REAL communism

You mean kinda like Cendero Luminoso or Che Gue Vara as their leader??? (sorry for wrong spelling me never met these guys before)

i always had a soft spot for the Carthaginians, even though I liked the romans the best and they were my sworn enemies. I loved re-creating the Punic wars, Hannibal was a smart leader even in the game.

I've always been partial to the mongols... then again, I am a mongol in the SCA ::shrugs::

I also miss the Celts, the Carthaginans, and the Sioux.

Heck, they'ved added the Iriquois... What about the Mohawks, the Inca, the Navaho, the Anasazi

They'd be interesting as well, I think.

I miss the ability to create/name my own culture as well. ::shrugs:: Ah well.

I'm just glad that not only is there a Mac version, but it works under OSX (woohoo)

Soon as I installed it, I started playing. 3 days later, it's 1350... I haven't been attacked yet, and am slowly but surely taking over everyone's cities through force of culture.. A feature I like!!!

vikings ruled, they sould be back as expansionist and militaristic, In civ II the civ you were didn't really matter it was just a matter of having a different name and different cities.

I was just thinking about that.

Civ - Unit - A.D.M

Mongols: (some horse unit) 2.3.3
Vikings: (a special galley unit) 1.2.4 (can ride in sea (medium blue) without a lighthouse. 50% chance of safely traveling ocean squares).
Souix: (some calvary unit) 5.4.4
Spanish: Contisadors. :D 7.3.3 (movement of 3 just to even things out a bit)
Celts: (??) ?.?.?
Carthage: (??) ?.?.?

And one to make it interesting.. Australians. It's the forgotten continent. :) I know in Civ2, it's the one continent the computer didn't settle in until the modern era.

The Mohawk are already in the game, they are one of the Iroquois tribes (note that not all the Mohawk were part of the Five/Six Nations though, there were several more Leagues in the region).

The Navaho are descendents of the Anasazi.

The Anasazi are not a bad choice. But if we'll ever get an expansion pack, I hope to see the Maya, who were much more important than the short-lived Aztecs. Maybe also the Tiahuanaco empire, of which the Inca are only filling one era.
