What Civ Will You Go On Your Very First Game Of Civ3?

Well I always play on the hardest level of all games that I get. I feel beating a game on a easier level cheapens you victory. I don't mind having no chance at winning.

You are a true WARRIOR KING!:king:

I think jump in at chieftan then go up to king level!

I'll try Romans, or Germans or Americans

Biggest map possible,

max amount of CIVs!...EEK! I wanna play it now!:D:crazyeyes

I may very well play the Americans first.
I may have to play my HOME country.

Of course, I will probably try most countries. I say most as the Zulus and Iroquis just do NOT impress me ;)

I dunno if it does but here goes....

WHAT CIV WILL YOU GO ON YOUR VERY FIRST GAME OF CIV3?

And how many civs will you pick?

Random or ready made map?

Will you try a tutuorial?

Or will you go straight for a scenario?

Get thinking!

1) The Americans
2) Random Map
3) I probebly will, and being the manual lover I am, I'll probebly read the whole thing first - If I can wait! :D
4) I'm not a big scenario fan. I'll wait to play them.

:D i'll probably go with the Americans the first game

I think it will have to be either the Germans or the Russians.
I think that the japaneese looks to be the best civ to play though. But who goes for maximising gamestats it is the feeling that counts.
Anyhow I will play the game for cultural victory.

Make love not war.

I never do tutorials, and depending on how my first game goes I probably will never do the tutorial in CivIII

My first game

Roman
12-16 civs
Random Map
Chieftan

I think that I shall go for a tutorial then get stuck in to the game....maybe a scenario...I really won't know until I get the game..:)

Hi Klash.

I always do tutorials even if I am good at the game. I find them fun or am I just strange??

:)

Nothing wrong with continued training!

We all forget little details now and then!:goodjob:

I can never stand playing through a tutorial, I'd like to get into action immediatly, I will start at the non cheating level, is that prince or King in CivIII

What is the first thing that you will do then Enemy Ace....when Civ III come on to the shelf:)

I will cry with joy and make a scene in EB!!!

prince. there's cheating for the ai on difficulties above prince and cheating for the player on difficulties below prince.

Im going to start and prince because there is no AI cheating - just me v them.
First civ will either be the aztec (gotta love that jaguar warrior - my empire gets big fast) or the English (oh england so dear to my heart).
I think im going to play on a normal size random map and with 8 other civs.
After that I think ill try a 16civ game on the huge world map.

I CANT WAIT

I think I'll start on Prince and take a medium sized Earth (if that's possible) and play as a Militaristic/Industrious civ. 7 Enemies to start with. Then I'll go for the good old militaristic victory, and really find out how hard it is to win that way.

In my first game I wouldn't waste time toying the game to learn it. I'd jump right in and start a 256/256 world map - or the biggest map there is - switch on 16 civs and prince difficulty; with either German, or Russian, or Chinese! Ahhh I'll decide later

:scan:

I beleive I will start with the Greeks and 8-10 civs. Chieftian..absolutely!!! Tuturial??--no doubt!! Try out all the civilizations? Absolutely..just when..I dont know..
Large world..
I'll let ya know how I did once i get the game, up and running...

".. I never saw the Time Traveller again.." H. G. Wells:jump:

I think I will start with the Romans and their commercial and militar abilities to see how trade and culture can improve my standard militar and diplomatic playing..
In my opinion Civ3 gives you more the experience to manage an empire than to conquer and to strengthen it like in Civ2..
I will start on the big real world map with 10 -12 civs
I only wish there was a province system like in the roman empire to get easily new cities treating them more severely than your mothercountry.. mid way between a city and a colony I mean
Then the Persians (I love Immortals),after them the Greeks, but I think every Civ is really interesting..

Bye Bye from the :ripper:
