What Civs Would You Like Added for Civ 4?

Civ IV will need to solve the current futility of naval power, so what better figurehead to the improved system than a Polynesian one?

Polynesia is a small barbarian tribe at best. From the list, the most viable choices seem:

- Phoenicians
- Tibet
- Assyria
- Austria/Hungary
- Israel
- Venezia (or Venice if you like)
- Sioux

What about Poland? I haven't noticed it in the poll.... Slavs is too general.

Slav is too General... we already have Russia... biggest Slav country.. Russia is basically Slav....

Poland wasnt created till after Napoleon war (DONT QUOTE ME, IM NOT SURE!)

and they were basically the whipping boy for Germany and USSR...

I would have made Poland an option, but I could only post twenty options and felt that African and SE Asain civs have been underepresented.

Wrong Poland. They are refering to medieval Poland which controlled a large part of Eastern Europe during the 15th, 16th, and 17th centuries.

For civs listed, I would like to see Ethiopia, Songhai, Khmer, Tibet, and Israel

But to all likelihood the first version of Civ4 will contain only 12 civs ...

I think Israel is a little controversial, they haven't been around that long.

Austria/Hungary is a good option I think

I only hope the Dutch stay in (crossing fingers and biting nails)

This poll is missing a fairly obvious nation that should be included as a Civ: CANADA!!! I don't wanna start a whole debate on whether or not Canada should be included as a Civ, but lets just say it has its reasons, has done a lot of good for the world, and has much right as any other nations (please refer to the Canada thread for more details)

The more civs the merrier. What I would like is an option to prevent "geographically overlapping" civs: for instance, no maps with both byzantines and turks, or romans and venetians.

But it won't happen that there'd be that many civs in civ4. What would they have to put in an expansion pack?
