What Difficulty do you play on (most of the time)?

Most of the time I play on Prince. Sometimes if I haven't played in a while I go to Warlord.

I have most fun on emperor, i can play and win on immortal but im not that comfortable. Its a little bit up to the starting position if im gonna make it or not.

Sometimes i go to like king or even Prince just to be able to build some of The early wonders, but i dont know, its like The game know the level most played and then makes the lower levels harder, becouse there is always a couple of runaway AIs to ruin my day.

I play Prince most of the time but I keep getting beat. I've only ever won a game on Warlord and it felt like a cheat because I was playing Sejong (randomized the leader) and it was far too easy to get all the tech and I also got so much tourism and culture that I ended up winning a cultural victory rather than a science one like I thought I surely would. But Prince feels like many levels harder and I always seem to get dominated less than half-way through the game. Can't seem to get up that next step in difficulty.

I alternate between Immortal and Deity. Immortal has the best early game, but once you eclipse the AI in science, the game's basically over. Deity's AI will always keep up with you and thus gives a great post-industrial game... If you live that long, that is.

I move between King-Emperor-Immortal. If I win a game I move up, if I lose a game I move down.

I've never won an Immortal game but I doubt I'll move to Deity if I ever do. Just like I won't move back down to Prince...

usually play on King, also known as Monarch-in previous Civ, however Prince/Regent-to make things easier on myself happens quite often as well. Get my butt kicked on Deity.

I like domination the best King is just way too easy for that the AI sucks and I'm not sure they know how to make a proper attack on King difficulty I don't think I've ever lost a city. The AI can keep up well enough with science or culture till the Renaissance/ industrial era but then I just overtake them and often I end up quitting the game since I know I'll win for sure.

Emperor the AI is better at fighting though they usually get ahead in science sometimes by a lot which gives them major combat advantages. I been playing Emperor with only domination victory enabled for awhile now just for fun and add a bunch of warmongers to the game. May move up to immortal and try the only domination thing since emperor is easy enough unless multiple people attack at once or one person runs away with the game but with only domination you can still defend well enough till you can catch up in tech

Either King or Prince. I usually play Prince on Civs im new to but for ones like Portugal, that im comfortable with, I play King. I want to start an emperor game one of these days.

I get stuck on king cause I always have some sandbox idea that I tell myself I'm just testing out on king to try on immortal next. Then I somehow never get back to it because I get distracted by my next great idea. ("How bout a 40 CS / 16 civ game as Alex on a standard map?"). It's tough to be a genius.

I play immortal, emperor is too easy and deity is just too much work/micromanaging

Pretty sure many people that responded in 2010 have switched difficulty or don't even play
