What do you all think about this start location?

Not the worse start location, but not the best i have i am going to give ti a try.

id say ewww...theres not much for your city growth..lots for production though..but in the early game..the growth is what i would look for..you have no imediate accsese to anything valuable..a better location is the one just south west by the ivory...trying to expand off of that location will be hard because i fear your cities growth will be badly hurt...hurry...get a settler and build a city in fertile ground..and make it your settler factory..if you do that..i think you'll be allright

What mod are you playing? It has potential for further cities though Athens is gonna have growth problems later.

I would have moved that settler south before creating a city.

seems like your second city will be the powerhouse for your empire.athens will not grow fast.

I don't think quality of start posistion is an issue when you mod like that.

Wait until he's built the barracks, and no longer has to put up with these wussy regulars....

its pretty early in the game also to have almost built a barracks..a worker and a spear unit...

Yup, the starting position is lousy, but not as lousy as some I've had on a huge map (an island with half tundra, half plains and mountains and room for only four cities).

But if you play the Romans and you have given such powerful units only to Romans, I doubt that you will have any challenge in this game...

But he's playing the Greeks. I must have stared at that screenie for 5 minutes trying to figure out how he could have a Roman soldier in his city so early in the game...then realized he must have modded it so all civs can build them. I guess the other civs will have them too. It should make for an interesting battle to watch.

I been away for a few days so i couldn't respond earlier. The Mod is my own that i am working one, the Roman Pikeman will be switched back to the Romans. I am useing my mod all the way through to make sure everything is good, so i am cheating with the gold and makeing the Roman Pikeman alot stronger. If everything is in working order, everything will go back to normal.
