OK, its not the game, but I used to (and still do) really enjoy reading the threads on the CivII forum. Now all you read about is the problems pre patch, the problems post-patch, and what people want to be patched in the future. Not saying that these aren't important issues (I'd be hypocritical if I didn't), but enough already!

The strategy and tips forum is better, but I want to read about AI stupidities, AI Extreme-Cleverness etc.

Well, uh, seems to me SOMEBODY has to say SOMETHING to get our issues across to Firaxis.

You say you understand there are important issues, but enough already. Thing is, if they're important issues, then maybe they should be discussed..

imho, anyway

Although I personally disagree with 95% of the complaints, and will like the game as is (once it has MP  ), I'm far more agitated when somone puts an issue out there, then there's a race to Sid's @$$ to see who can get the first smooch in.

It is, afterall, simply a 'discussions' forum.

Not a 'discussion of the positive aspects' forum....

...or a 'stick tongue down Sid throat' forum, lol

No, that last line wasn't directed at any one idividual. :shotgun:

The biggest thing I miss is social engineering. That thing was really something which breathed life into AC's factions. They way it got tied into diplomacy was well was really nice.

If only you could make culture and strategic resouces in AC. Ahhh. That would be good indeed.

Aaaaah, the social engineering... Or how to make governments really FEELING differents.
I did not like very much the actual choices (not really connected to what they were supposed to represent), but the idea was just awesome. Much more modding for government and the whole society, and plenty new effetcs for wonders...
