What do you think Combat and Combat movement will be like on the Hex grid?

It does look like "flanking" doesn't require a flank at all, its just number of friendly units surrounding the target.

I have but one hope: that the mods I'll play be able to get rid of this nonsensical 'one unit per hex' feature.

Totally unrealistic and absolutely not good for gameplay purpose. When people get bored of having to station their bombing squadron outside of a city, or their fleet outside of a city, etc. they will realize it simply don't work.

Air units are mentioned as one of the exceptions... and realistically a fleet is never in a city... it can be in a harbor next to the city.

And Cities defend themselves so you don't need to have a unit in there.

I think its a good change as long as it is VERY hard to maintain a large # of unit army. (ie 1 unit per every 2-3 cities is the normal ratio for late game)
