I always hear people refer to "E3" when talking about games. What is this that they are talking about?

Electronic Entertainment Expo, yearly trade show where gaming companies show what should be out for the holiday buying season. Used to be a time for big announcements and shocking surprises, now it tends to be the same screenies they have been showing and no useful announcements.

How can I watch it?

What sky channels is it on, and what date and time?

E3 homepage is at http://www.e3expo.com/

In the U.S., G4TV (formerly TechTV) should cover the event. The best places to see the coverages though are major gaming sites like GameSpot, GameSpy, and IGN, and gaming news sites like ShackNews and BluesNews.

Yeah, I've just heard that its on G4, but can I watch this on Sky? (I presume you have Sky in the US?) As you can see I live in Great Britain, not the US.

Ah, that Sky!

Sky = DirectTV in the US. Both are owned by Rupert Murdoch. We thought you ment Sky News.

I don't see how that is possible...

Most Americans are aware of Sky News and the other Sky channels but are not aware that Sky is also a satellite TV service, mostly because Murdoch doesn't advertise the service here but still puts channels like Sky News in movies like The Day After Tomorrow.

In any case, for coverage you might want to check the BBC, they will definitely have a correspondent there. Even so, coverage of E3 is minimal on most television stations so your best bet will be the Internet.

May 9-11 I believe. I think it's all day to.

Close, you're off by a day. ;) The press conferences are on the 9th, the exhibition is from the 10th-12th.

Yep, your right. My bad.

May 9-12

There.

I'm looking forward to E3, although I won't be there in person (someday perhaps) but I'm excited for more news on WoW; Burning Crusade! Hopefully the new Alliance race will be announced then!

new Zelda game, Madden game, and the Wii and PS3 interest me most.

My dreams would come true if Nintendo surprised us all with a Wi-fi enabled Super Smash Bros. for DS. And a Civilization game.
