What is the best Internet browser?

I'm not really happy with IE 6.0 (it crashes sometimes) so I'm looking for another good Internet browser. Does anyone know a good one?

Opera!

Takes time to get used to.
I'll never go back to IE.

Sometimes I get some sites that don't work without IE.
I leave a message in the 'contact' field, informing them that their site is not W3C(?) compliant. :D

I thought Mozilla was for Windows?

Ahh yes Opera - the best. You'll be glad you downloaded it.

I'm using both IE 6.0 and NS 7.02, sometimes side by side.

Both have good parts, and bad parts.

I haven't tried Mozilla yet, I might after my IE vs NS battle is done.

Didn't like Opera. It lasted less than an hour.

NS has lasted a day and a half, so far.

Mozilla's firebird (formerly known as phoenix, and the browser that will become the core of the mozilla app suite). Lots of themes, lots of extension improving the browser (you don't have to wait for the browser next release for features), fast, efficient... :D

Edit : And although it's not yet at 1.0 (0.6 coming in a few days) it's almost bug-free... :D

Opera is becoming to come undone with some minor little things - I might download another browser. Here are some of my issues with it -

1) No left/right scrolling when you click the wheel
2) If I scroll too fast sometimes, it freezes up a little
3) If I tab in-between windows too fast, it also freezes up a little too

As said, Netscape has all the good features of Opera like a built-in popup killer and the tab-browsing ability, and the stability of Mozilla. It looks good too. ;)

Hmmm, I've never even looked at Opera. I will have to give it a shot.

@Mikoyan; Nutscrape!! :lol:

This is what I think of Nutscrape, :vomit:
What utter garbage.

Netscape isn't that bad.. And the topic about the "best internet browser" not about those you don't like... Why don't you tell us what you like instead of telling us what you don't? :p

If the library would bother to upgrade its damned Netscape v4.72 browsers to Netscape 7 (why not? It's free!) I could use them at the library and might be convinced that I should download it.

Also about the banner ad thing...I took care of that problem. :mischief:
