It's a civ3 game run by civ3 players in a community, basically. It has three important documents (the rules), forums for the citizens, the government, polls, and the Role Playing Game inside the DemoGame. Demo means Democracy, btw. You have to register in the registry thread in the Demogame's main forum to be in the game. You then can vote in polls, try to get involved in the gov., (I'm the Census Leader and the ambassador to Apolyton), register and get involved in the rpg, among other things.

As stated by others, this can be fairly confusing to people just coming on board. I will be posting some links here for you. Just click on them and this will save you the time of searching. Shaitan and eyrei are our Moderators for the Demogame Forum and it's 4 sub-forums. They pretty much handle all the major problems, making sure the game runs smoothly in a logistical manner. They can make rulings from "outside" they game as a Moderator, but by the democratic process, have been allowed to participate as citizens in the game and the RPG portion of the game. Here is a link to Shaitan's thread for game critical links in an index format. This is very helpful.

As stated by the others, when you register as a citizen of the Nation being played in th Demogame (DG), you become "legally" eligible to participate in the discussions and are allowed to vote on the issues discussed. This is the second Demogame (DG2), and the Nation for this game is Fanatika. (DG1 had a Nation called Phoenatica.) As a citizen of Fanatika (we're using the German tribe of the Civ3 game) you'd be eligible to run for office to become a governmental Leader. Each Leader is elected to office for a term of one month. Elections take place at the end of each month.
