Ok today I ran into something interesting and never seen before...when I built around 10 or so army units the game wouldn't allow me to build anymore, and when I disbanded one army my capital (where my Intelligence Agency was built) would let me build another unit....why is this...whats the max allowed in one game?

and I mean how many fully loaded armies are supported by Civ3

Don't forget you may find it useful to disband an old army someplace and then you can make another one.

where do you build armies btw? i know its kinda a newb question but i've been off civ 3 for awhile and forgotten, got tied up with freedom fighters for awhile :p

A Military Great Leader can build one. You have a chance of getting a MGL every time your elite unit wins a battle.

cant you build them too? because my ellites tend to have a short life span

Get more elites :)

But you can build armies in a city with Military Academy.

You can build the MA after you research Military Tradition and at least one of your armies has won a battle. It's a small wonder so you can only have one.

512/4 = 128
(512 is the number of cities allowed in a game, and 4 cities required per army)

that means you can have 128 armies in the game. :ar15:

Only if no civs are left and you kept on playing, otherwise you could not have 512.

128 armies...with the game stock...now if you changed it in the map editor to 1 city hahaha...512 although I dont think I need that many...but again....I wont beable to fight anyone if I have 512 cities *god damn limits WHY WHY*
