To people have trouble: Are you using steam, epic game store, other?

I'm using steam and the launcher hasn't given me any issues so far (although I'm tired of launching launchers with launchers... stop this, companies!)

I'm not sure what the issue with the launcher is, but if it's something that can be solved by bypassing the launcher and going straight into the game, this thread gives directions on how to do that.

It appears that it is only the game I started last night that wont launch. Maybe it has something to do with playing the game while the new launcher was downloading. That save doesn't have any of the expansions or dlc recognized.

Yep, the game still loads normally for me, and any new launcher that may have been added is just as bypassed as the old one.

Well the update just killed internet access for my game. No online play, no Play By Cloud access. Another example of the great customer service and support from Firaxis and 2K.
