I'm in my first SG at the moment and I was trying to upload the saved game file. When I browse for the file everything is OK. I click upload-still OK. I search in the uploads2 folder. No file. . I've tried uploading in each of the different slots, in .SAV, .sav, .zip,.ZIP formats and I still can't get my file to show up.

Any help or comments would be appreciated

I assume you get the upload window change to say it was successful. (I only ask because once I got impatient/stupid, closed it too early, then wondered where my files were)

Also, really stupid question, but I've done this myself: the filenames are case sensitive AND all the uppercase are first. Make sure you are looking for exactly the right name.

Or click on the "modified" thing at the top of the listing and it will reorder them into date order. Wait a couple of minutes for it to reorder the files, then check the last few - if you just uploaded, they should be there.

Other than that you have me stumped. Try a different file name perhaps? It says it renames them if already there, is that the problem perhaps? Use something so ridiculous no-one can have used it, just in case.

All of the above and I recommend naming it uniquely as possible.I use:Smash-gotm22.sav or Smash-whatever.jpg,for example. Then it is fairly easy to scroll to "my" uploads.

I also can never find my uploads, including right now. I have asked about it a couple of times before, and no one was able to really help me. And just how long is it supposed to take for the file to appear in the folder? A test file of mine still hasn't appeared for several minutes now.

There's a success message? Didn't know that, must be far too impatient!

Tried again, received success message, still no file!

I emailed it to someone else in the SG and they uploaded it for me. It was called i think:- The1-1525BC.sav

Here's what I do: I copy and paste the name of each file I'm uploading onto the text box. Then upload. Then copy and paste the example the forum gives you: http://www.civfanatics and so on. Make sure you copy the one with uploads 2. Then put that infront of the file names and add the image tags. Can't be bothered to look through the upload folder.

If you look in the uploads folder TF you'll see a file with that name because someone else in my SG uploaded it for me. Thanx for the tip God I'll try it later but i have homework to do now
