I don't think there is a thread about this. I did a search for "favorite", and nothing came up. Every mod like this always has to have one of these. :P

Since I just started...I don't have a favorite really. I have to take a better look at the pedia and decide.

But what about you guys...what is your favorite civ to play? (and maybe explain why if you want, as an optional thing).

The problem is the civs in C2C are all the same. The only thing to choose in the beginning is your leader traits and your starting culture(Asian, North America, South America, Europe, Middle East, Oceania, or Africa).

I go for America, because I am American.

That, and they have a ton of both South and North American cultures. Some of the other ones don't seem to have as many...

That, and because I am American, and they don't actually DO anything anymore.

I like the Romans, on the GEM map.. very fun location. :)

Welcome to C2C, Vendayn, and please spread the word on how much C2C doesn't suck, ;)

My standard has been Julius Caesar of Rome.

However with the its negative trait it has been hard to play. So I have been trying others. It may take me awhile to find a new favorite.

However I really do like the graphics of the Roman civ throughout the ages.

I may have to design my own custom civ and ask SO if he could make it in the modmod section. I always wanted to make one.

Egyptian on GEM.

I love to start in Africa and conquer entire continent.

If I'm playing a random map I usually just random, if on GEM depends what I feel like, im loving my game as Meiji of Japan currently, its tough (not being on the mainland) but definitely fun.

I think if I had to pick a favourite it'd be Menzies, being Australian I like playing as them and my faculty building at university was named after him, so everyday I would be in the 'menzies' building :). Although I prefer Curtin in terms of his political alignment (being more left), Menzies is still cool.

I tend to enjoy Hirohito... I do enjoy the unit looks and artstyle for Japan.
Past that, I enjoy playing Persia or Greece on the GEM scenario.

I enjoy the Native American cultures the most(Navajo, Inuit, Sioux, etc.) because they have a relatively unwritten history(in reality, at least), and it's fun to see how they might've developed if they hadn't been conquered by the Europeans.

How bad do you want the Roman Civ??

Mine as well. I play a 14,500 turn game over a few months, so I don't usually play a lot of games. I tend to stick with Julius. We're on a first name basis now.

To those above playing as Rome lately, have ANY of you been able to get Spartacus to show-up after you build the Colosseum?

Have you seen zulu9812 unit modpack for ROM-AND? Japan in particular is rad.

Heaps of samurai/ninja looking troops.

Is there a difference from his to mine in the New Civ section?? I have two or three different ones. If so, i can make almost any one you like, just give me what unit you'd like in each, and well DONE!

I agree, since i live in a town with an Indian name, well ALL of them are named after Indians in this area of the country, infact my Schools logo is: The Indians, hows that.:p And my Mom grew up going to a reservation school.

Babylon under Nebuchadnezzar; trait combination suits my playing style very well, and the Middle Eastern culture group is a solid one.

Yeah, after playing a bit, I would say the same. Them and the vikings (love viking history, even have viking blood in me from some long time ago relatives)

But I usually play as the Native Americans. I enjoy them a lot. I've been trying out the GEM map, but they didn't include all the Native Americans. But, I enjoy playing as the Sioux (love playing as Sitting Bull) and the Aztecs are always interesting.

So yeah, Native Americans and Vikings would be my favorite to play as. That is true for Civ 5 as well.

I will probably always play random, but out of curiosity I just looked through to see if anyone is Spiritual/Creative like me. Only Theodora (Byzantine empress) is. If I was going to choose a civ I would choose either Inuit or Malagasy. They are the ones that fire my imagination that I know the least about.

Just have it on random and never Ever tried GEM on any mod or Vanilla (except Multiplayer and then very shortly)
