Small Continents for me. I often play random leader so I like to give myself a chance should I draw a Civ with a maritime bias.

Ring? That is from an expansion that I do not have... I didn't know about it so I did not include it.

Fractal i'd say.

I like to go random maps, but it seems to nearly always pick something Pangea or Pangea-like when i do random, so lately i'm trying out different ones.

Thus far, Fractal is likely my favorite, as has been mentioned, it really is quite random

Ring is nice but it feels too much like gaming the system. Personally I like Oval, it's Pangea with 'strategic balance', so that start locations are more balanced in terms of grabbing territory.

Continents Plus for me (Not mentioned in the poll though )

I just started playing the Custom Continents map and I am enjoying it very much. I've noticed that if I want a solo start (Duel sized map) for a peaceful Cultural victory Custom Continents Seems to deliver that more often than vanilla Continents.

just got the explorers map pack with the vikings DLC and have been playing with the continents plus ... WOW, just WOW, these map scripts really NEED to be included for everyone, they are that much better imo, the placement of the CS is far superiour and i am loving the layouts of the continants i have seen so far
you shouldnt have to pay extra for something that should have come out in a patch
