Organization? What organization? I'm not very organized as it is, but in case you wanna know...
Most of my army consist of going through cities as quickly and decisively as possible:
60% siege (catapults, trebuchets, cannons, artillery)
18% melee (90% of those being no resource units, since most of the iron is being used on siege anyway)
18% mounted (chariots and elephants, horsemen, knights, lancers, cavalry, tanks, modern armor)
2% ranged (archers, crossbowmen)
30% of those units will have promotions that are good on open terrain, and 70% will be those that are good in rough terrain (since rough terrain is more common).
That's my secret! Now please don't kill me.
