I'm so old school . Before the retro craze hit, it was really, really hard getting some of them. I had to correspond via snail mail to get the Flying V... unthinkable these days.

Nice touch on the Phillies Ryne Sandberg by the way. Too bad the Fightins' let him go for ... who'd they get in return? I just remember it was a bust. You'd have to like their chance with Sandberg and Mike Schmidt...

yeah. i remeber those day as well. i bought my Weight jersey that way back in the mid 90s. i had to call a Canadian manufacturer b/c they didn't sell any of the authentic ones in Jersey (the flyers/devils/rangers of course-but not Edm).

i had the Sandberg jersey custom made actually (#37 on the old powder blue unis). he was traded w/ Larry Bowa for Ivan DeJesus who was an 'all golove-no hit' type of player.

ironically, Sandberg was a 3B in the minors and in his first yr w/ the Cubs. it wasn't until the Cubbies signed Ron Cey that they shifted him over to 2B.
