What just happened?

I've got a MAJOR PROBLEM. After I won a Space Race Victory, the screen said, "Your movies have not been installed correctly". Can anyone tell me what the heck just happened & how do you fix it?

NOTE: My PC has a resolution of 800x600 but when i play civ4, it goes to 1024x768.
