What notebook to buy?

Hello,

I'm going to be buying a notebook and I need advice. The thread's in Technical Support here:

Don't put it in technical support, tech supp. is for Civ tech supp. - you want to put it in the Computer Talk forum, where the friendly community of Computer-know-it-alls (or at least that's what we like to think of ourselves ) will give you some advice.
