My new Laptop comes today (I hope!) and after much waiting, I'm eager to try out CIV 4 and see how it works.
On my previous computer it worked pretty well for most games on Standar maps or smaller, although it sometimes chugged in the late game. Although playing on a large or huge map was possible it involved painfully long waits between turns and even to re-centre a map.
The old PC was a Pentium 1.8GHz and I had about 750MB RAM and a 256 Radeon video card.
The new one is Pentium Duo 2GHz with 1.5GB RAM and 256 Radeon video card. How much improved performance do you think I will get with Civ 4? Will I at last be able to play a huge world at a fun speed?? Please say yes.
