I could test this but I don't want to wear out my monitor.

I'd also like to know what Power Options are operative when two users, one admin and one limited user, are logged in with different Power Options settings.

Oops sorry. XP Pro.

I thought regular users were not allowed to change power options. Anyway, it would be the last one who was using the computer, unless there is no one loggen it, in which case it would be the 1st account. I think it would always be the first account even if it is not tha admin account.

It should also be the same as the screan saver, so that's the easy way to tell.

But it comes with a default power option setting ... and I changed it just by temporarily switching it to admin and then switching back to limited user.

What do you mean by first account? Like the first one that was created? If you mean something else, how do you know which one is the "first"?

Good idea.

Thanks for your help!

Users can't change screensaver/power settings IIRC, so it should always be running the admin's settings.

If you have multiple admins with different settings though, I'm not sure....

Regular users can change Screen Savers. (unless you disable it seperately)

By first I mean the first created. This should also be the one who's desktop immage apears before the login menu shows up.
