I've NEVER seen the Modern alt. cities.

I've NEVER seen the bomb or the scrythe on the "problem indicator thingie that shows that this city is in disorder".(This, is think, has to do with poisonous water)

I've NEVER seen the biker dude or the indian.
(Im almost sure that they come when a city is totaly filled with angry people)

I've NEVER seen the herb, the silkworm, the pirate shied or the "Indiana jones temple with a huge diamond in it".

And when can i build the Nessie, the flying wooden zeppeline, the golden warrior, and the trieme made of iron??????????????????

I looked at the pictures in the civ catalogue and saw all above.

Maybe I haven´t played Civ as much as i thought??..

Where did you see these?

With the exception of the Biker & other blackfaces (Double-unhappy citizens) it sounds like you were looking at graphics from various scenarios and modpacks.

Units.gif

Ive never builded a map so i don´t have a clue if it is there you can insert them.

Well I've certainly seen the black biker dude (and dudette). Just try taking a large civ (150+ cities) from Fundamentalism into Anarchy and you'll be knee-deep in them!

But were does they find gasoline in a anarchy?

I don´t think that the gas-stations will give free gas to any biker who asks..

Those units are in there just so that novice mod creators can start to see how to put together new packs. If you want just cut and paste them into the units.gif file and the new graphics will be in the game.

But all the other stuffs?

Well, Tim, that system isn´t gonna last forever. They will have to walk short distances and only use the bike for long trips with the biker family and make the other bikers jealous.

Only a small percentage of all the bikers will actually have a bike..most bikers will cuise around in shopping carts and stuff like that. Cuz the manufacturer will not make any new bikes..

The graphics are there for people to modify the game. Where you see the hot air baloon thing, the wierd looking fat warrior, and the funny looking ship those the spaces for extra units. You can go into the rules.txt file and alter the rules so that the graphics that appear in those spaces become units that you can use in the game. Unfortuneatly you only get three spaces to work with unless you want to remove other units. All the guidelines for altering the game rules are in that rules.txt file.

Once you learn how to do this you can have all sorts of fun. I've been able to create a whole load of new units for my games. Everthing from heavy bombers, snipers, Anti-aircraft guns, and (my favorite) nuclear launching howitzers. If you want to start creating scenarios or modpacks this skill is a must. You can even use it to alter the city tiles, irrigation, citizens...any graphic in the game. And you can use the rules.txt file to alter all the basic rules of the game.

You´ve made some thing more clear.

So the modern alternative cities don´t exist.
They only exist if you activate them by alterning the rules txt file..

Or am i wrong?
