Depends on how you manage GS and RA's (and whether it is vanilla or G&K).It helps with utopia, yeah. Not so much with SS parts, at least not in my games anyways, I usually have to pause between building the parts(getting to particle physics after nanotech takes longer than building the parts). Then again maybe I'm doing something wrong.
Freedom is also good for certain civs:Maybe I'm overlooking freedom, but I'd only take it, if I'm going for a culture win. Rationalism + Planned Economy in order seem too powerful to pass up.
- Persia likes Golden Ages so the finisher is great (and the Great Artist Faith Buy in G&K also makes this the best option)
- Korea likes specialists
- Egypt is going to be wonder building so the culture bonus and also the great person growth are helpful (though the GE for Order in G&K is also really nice)
- Other civs that have Great Person bonuses may love the Freedom opener (Babylon's bonus to Great Scientists, Austria's coffee house).
I think that you are mistaking that for Monument of the Gods (+15% for Ancient/Classic Wonders).True for Egypt and Aristocracy. Getting a marble start will probably take some rerolling, though, and you can't really get a GE before religious community becomes useless.
Religious Community is +X% production for X followers (max 15). Eventually it will be an additional +15%.
Not necessarily, there are still ways for you to Wonder hoard on higher levels.Fair enough, but for that to happen you need to play on a difficulty that's too easy for you anyways.
For example, sometimes I will hand pick my opponents, choosing all of the AI's with the lowest Wonder flavor traits (the 3's and 4's mostly).
Strategically DoW'ing and also paying the AI's to constantly war with each other also makes wonder building a much lower priority for them.
