I am working on a mod and preview scenarios that have a little of everything-zombies as barbarians, giant monsters as buildable units-you can field variations of King Kong if tou have tropical fruit or variations of Godzilla if you have uranium after you discover Fission. There are civilizations that favor magic and nature as their base(Russia,Celts, others)and civilizations that favor science and technology as their base(America,Germany, others). One scenario will be Earth-based the other scenario will be space-based and you will race to reach space and to claim new planets for your nation-I got the idea from Sun aar jams Clone Wars.Check it out its great. There will be Confederates,a Southern African Reich,a modern "Carthage",dinosaurs and a lot more.I hope to do an Invasion Of Mars mod sometime as a companion piece to the Earth mod and a Venus mod. Well anyway I am reimagining and reinventing the Earth and the solar system and i will populating the galaxy with real civilizations and fictionalized versions of real civilizations. but enough about me and my work-What do yuo want to see in future mods and scenarios for CIV. I myself am overwhelmed by all of the talent and all of the Knowledge on The Civ Forums.

I myself would like to see a Planet Of The Apes mod or scenario. Unfortunately I do not yet know how to make units, etc. I do plan to learn though.

I'd like to see probably more modern like scenarios

I'd like to see an awesome Revolutionary/Civil War Scenario for the United States

I'd also like to see an Ancient aged war scenario that hasn't been done, perhaps like the expansion of Israel

the Revolutionary War has been sorely neglected and severely forgotten. I coincidentally watched The Patriot with Mel Gibson the other day. Someone should get on top of that.

!!!I forgot my other thought! A Civil War mod or scenario that goes all the way into modern times would be awesome,As would a normal Civil War project with size and scope. The Civil War came close to being The First World War-with the USA vs. the CSA,France and Britain. that would be something to see-perhaps as a global war?

Drakonius, sounds like you'll have fun with your project but you may find some of those things hard to do in civ, the engine does have its limits (and hardcoding makes it worse). Have you checked out the Playground Mod or Escape from Zombie Island? It sounds like your tastes would run in that direction. :)

I agree wholeheartedly TB, on your second point. That and a lack of a Mongol scenario have long seemed to me to be the most neglected areas of mod-dom. A revolutionary war is one of my ongoing projects but merely in its very incipient stages and unless I get a vacation and/or go find a partner somebody else will (hopefully!) release one already.

my project is mostly done.i just have to add a few aircraft to the main mod and i need to change or remove some units, etc. i am disappointed that one cannot have planets with water and normal navies when you design an outer space game. i am experimenting with making ring-shaped planets with "water' in the center and impassable mountains as their rims. the surface ships could perhaps upgrade to space ships with the rebase ability. i also have an idea of ignoring reality and of using the Star Wars desert skiff and slaver ship as substitutes for the galley, etc. then the Flash Gordon spaceship could become avalible with Rocketry.More advanced spacecraft could then follow as Nuclear Power and Space Flight are developed\discovered. i am considering having the desert skiff and the slaver ship becoming avalible with Invention and Navigation. that would make the ring worlds naval upgrades unnessicary. right now i am rather burnt out and i will be taking a short break from my projects. I love Escape From Zombie Island! thanks for the suggestion though. i hope that you will check out my work when it finally begins to come out. if it has not been done yet,a Spanish Civil War mod or scenario would be great.especially on a huge map.it would however require a massive amount of research and accurate mapmaking. my counterfactual Earth project has taken a monstrous ammount of research since i have tried to make each of the real and fictional nations as realistic as possible and as historically accurate as they can be given the different evolution and environmemt.I have taken great liberties with the shape the world, but i have left its substance intact. Sandris! Sandris is GREAT!Sandris has created a vast number of important units. i have a thought for another mod or scenario, but my thought has eluded me...i'm sure that Normandy,June 1944 has already be done...let's see...oh yeah-the Latin American wars of independance against Spain in the early 19th Century.that would be quite a mod or scenario,if if has not already been done.and perhaps someone could do something with Alexander Nevsky and\or the growth of Russia from Ivan the Terrible forward. Russia and Russian history are two extremely interesting subjects.

and with Sandris' new unit pack for the Mongols, along with the already existing untis for the mongols, there are plenty of units to use for the scenario.

i thinking of doing S.M. Stirlings Peshawar Lancers next year. i have all of the nessicary unts. i just need to read the book again and get a new world atlas. i am also thinking of an urban warfare game.

I wouldn't mind some really good modern Middle East scenarios. Such as the Yom Kippur War, Suez Crisis, etc.
