Post what new or old concept that you think should have been in civ rev that wasnt

I think civilization specifac techs is a good idea

Ex: for instance, america gets mass production (double production)

the civs already have specific bonuses, i believe this works better than having their own techs to research would

Things I am disappointed at:

1. Grossly unbalanced Republic and Romans: The whole settler pumping strategy to build a super-sized city is just totally out of whack.

2. No feeding requirement of 2 food per citizen? Hasn't that been the most basic and fundamental concept of ANY Civ games to date? No wonder that whole super-sized city trick even works.

3. Terrible combat. Why are we stepping back to Civ1 days when ancient army is defeating modern army? It should just NOT happen, PERIOD.

4. Stripped down diplomacy. Back to the good ol days of Civ1 again when the AI opponents start parking their units right next to my cities with no option to ask them to move. Trading with leaders is back to absolute bare minimum, equivalent to Civ1 diplomacy.

More to come I am sure.... for now, this is all I can think of.

I was playing Civ IV and watched as an archer sunk an arrow into my freaking tank and destroyed it. HUH? Talk about your miracles.

As to your point #4, I really, really wish Civ would expand into a complex foreign relations model. Sounds like the Civ Rev version is "Me Tarzan. You Jane."

The one thing I want is the actual game. Still waiting for the 8th...yawn.

I heard there are no earth maps, or earth senarios. I would have liked if they had been included with the game. Don't mean they won't put it out there for download however! *hint hint wink wink to Sid*

Specific religions. That was one of the most appreciated implementations in Civ IV and one I have always had fun tinkering with. Looks like Rev is back to "Religion" as a broad sweeping term.

First, More pregame customize options. Like maps size, what civs your playing, how many civs, landmass type, etc. Second, Option to name your capital. Seems odd you can name every other city but not that. Lastly, disbanding cities. I love you Aztects, but sometimes you put your cities in stupid places...like 2 squares away from mine.

They should have upp'd the MP max players from 4>6. This way the MP for this game wouldn't be like every other RTS and Strategy game where it's always 2v2. 3v3 would have been bomb to play on this game, it would actually be perfect. This would have been a cool addition to change it up a little bit.

but it's hard enough and takes long enough to get a game with just 4 players, never mind 6!!!!!!!!!!

Will the full game have the ability to draw on the screen love making black dot city lol. If that ability isnt present i think i would miss that also.

i miss some pre game coutamazation options. pluss i was realy hopeing for a few more civs

civs that i realy wanted in whear the
1, persians
2, atleast the babilonians, or some civ to represent the mesapotmians, i whould be happy with the assyrians, the summerians
3, the ottoman empier, or the hittites to represent anitolia

its funny how the cradal of human civilazation is under repersented, thay only give the mid east the arabs. witch while a good choice, i think babilonia or persian empiers whould make much beater choices.

But I doubt you've played all the strategy and RTS games for the 360 to the point where 2v2 is all you get. So 3v3 would definitely be a nicer change. You would see most teams being very creative with this opprotunity.

Will the american version be different than the british version? and how

i think its going to fix bugs and maybe have a mystery civ or something like that

i doubt it will be any different at all

why would they have the usa version patched up when they could update everyone much cheaper over XBL

Well, they better, because they would let us wait one month longer than the brits, for nothing!

IF they don't, they biased to the brits

They said there planning on ''gift with purchase bonuses'' for north americans

they, right

2 things i want back
1 a mini map
and
2 the option to set a unit to explore without manually moving every freakin turn.

But besides that i think this is the best civ out. All those little micro tedious maintence penalties and etc is finally gone.
