I turn on email notification and daily go through more than fifteen emails to go through all the threads. When I followed through with this one thread, I got what you see below

Why did that happen? Civfanatics is definintely not vbulletin.org when as an unlicensed member I couldn't even PM a moderator...

Civfanatics is definitely not vbulletin.org but it does use VBulletin. That is a generic VBulletin message given when you don't have access to the page you requested.

What actually happened is, the thread you went to view had been removed by a moderator to a "holding area" which only mods can see. It's where we put things while we decide what to do with them. And sometimes for "evidence" about certain poster's behavior.

In that particular case, it was a duplicate of an existing thread in Site Feedback, and was simply removed.

Well, I have had a thread that gave me an email notification that was later deleted. That was "I hate America and George W. Bush!" The page displayed, however, was "Invalid Link" not this message given.

I only mention vbulletin.org because the forums are REALLY restrictive. I accidentally put my name as "hbdaragon88" and I wanted to fix it, so I tried to PM one of the administrators and as an unlicensed user member, I couldn't do anything.

How did you know that it was a Site Feedback thread? Just by the link?

I *said* it was moved to an "invisible" forum, not deleted. I could still see it. Besides, when I saw the title of the thread, I remembered seeing it get moved, and why.

[And I'm not *always* on ICQ. Sometimes I'm at work, where it's verboten, sometimes I'm too busy to deal with the interruptions, ... ]

It got moved to the secret "Recycle Bin" forum, which is inside the staff forum. Of course you can't access it.

PS: Use the upload server for file uploads please.

I tried uploading it as a png, but it didn't work. I've also tried to upload three other pngs (for an article) but that didn't work, either. I tried as "what.png" and the other three were "nuclear1.png" and respectively for 2 and 3.

When I saved it as a jpg it was underneath the 100kb limit so I used the forum attachment feature, TF.

So this thread just got moved whereas the other thread that was removed from the forums (the one that I mentioned) got outright deleted. Ok. I can see that.
