What's the deal with Blight and Pestilence?

Ok, so I was playing a game as the Ljosalfar (sp?), and around turn 400, blight happened as it should. Then, just as my cities had finished recovering from blight, it seemed like it happened a second time! I was going to report this in the bug section, but then I saw a pop up saying that pestilence is attacking the Calabim lands (all that were left in the game were the Calabim and the Ilians).

So, what's the deal with pestilence and blight? Can blight happen twice? Would Calabim's pestilence affect me in the way that blight did?

Pestilence can happen ANY time past AC of 40. It's effects are almost the same as blight (disease in city reported as blight, but also take death damage on all units)

Ah, ok, can it happen more than once? Because the death damage happened both times.

Pestilence can happen any number of times. (Well, I guess not any number. Only non-negative integers would make sense )
