What's wrong with my computer?

I have the "cheshire cat/black terrain" syndrome in my game, but it should not be this way. I have Windows XP, 521 MB of RAM, 2.0 GHz, S3 Unichrome 3D graphics card, more than enough free space... so what's wrong with my game? Does this game support S3 graphics cards? (I'm not at all familiar with the inner-workings of my PC, so spare me the technical stuff.)

Well, in plain terms, your PC is broken. You need to update your video drivers at least. Find someone who can help you.

what exactly do you mean by "black terrain"??

I say "Broken" because the software is not set up right to operate the hardware good enough for the game.

The discussion is going to get technical real fast if you want instructions.

Fine, go technical. I want to play this game. By black terrain I mean, I don't see any terrain, but I do see my settler and warriors.
