What's your favorite Civ

I'd have to say my top civ is Japan.

1. Religious is the second best trait in the game IMO. One turn Anarchy rocks.

2. Their UU is simply the BEST unit around for that period. A movement of two, with a defense to rival that of the musketmen. Not to mention a great time for a GA to grab those early Middle age wonders like Leos, Bachs, or even Sun Tzu.

3. Also, with the UU being a walking superfortress, you get TONS of GL's. I got 4 GL in some of my wars during that time.

Although Japan is my favorite civ, I do also REALLY like the Chinese, and the Greeks.

I have had two problems in the past with Egypt. In the first game with Egypt I felt like Shakespeare's Richard III -- "A horse! A Horse! My kingdom for a horse!" In the second try, I was in an area with many mountains. Chariots can neither move onto or even attack units in a mountain without a road there.

@Froglegs- Surrounded by mountains as Egpyt...lucky you are industrious

Maya, then Byzantium! :D ;)

But until we can all play C3C, Carthage has been my favorite.

Do you beta testers enjoy taunting the rest of us?

Ottomans by far. Sipahi like Cavalry on steriods. Industrious cities and workers that can rail right up to your front door for the Sipahi attack. Golden age right about that time. Cheap science buildings.

In my last game combined the War Academy, Leonardo's, Rail, Sipahi and Golden Age to destroy China the biggest and baddest Civ on the planet in about 12 turns. Took my GL and built ToE and got Atomic Theory and Electronics with it and never looked back.
