Puppeteer, you are working on a great program. Do you still need other save files for analysis and are save files of a modded epic game (and scenarios) also be needed? In the later case there are tons of save files for you in the succession games forum at CFC, many of them with descriptions what happened in the turn before, and there are also succession game saves about the standard epic game.

Did another test.

Turned OCN down to 1. According to the proposed formula, that should mean barbs spawn as soon as we plant cities. They didn't. One by one, me and the ai plant their second settlers. When the last AI plants their second city, a barb camp spawns.

I don't think it has to do with OCN. I think it's just when # of cities >= # of players on the map x 2.
