Where are you getting your mods?

I'm wondering if I should also put all my mods on this site's download section too. I just assumed everyone used the steam workshop but then someone requested an alternate link.
Is that common?

Steam is ok. But the odd time I've had trouble with it so I prefer a direct link to the authors site or the local civfanaticsdb which has never given me trouble.

*I should add steam is great in that if you change PCs or wipe your HDD you can just re-DL everything easily enough without having to search for it.

I realized that most people who request alternative links in my comment sections are people who probably have multiple steam accounts or are gathering mods for their friends, because they usually don't have Beyond Earth in their Library. I'm very sure those are the reasons for that. 8) (To be fair, for some the Workshop does really not work properly.)

But to get to the topic:
I get most of my mods from the workshop.

For civ I get it from the workshop. For total war games I get them directly from TWC, because the official manager is awful.
