Where do I find patches?

I have the vanilla Civ3. Where do I get patches? Also, where do I find the upgrades to allow other civs, etc?

You can download patches here. For adding your own civs by modding, try browsing around the Creation & Customization forum.
If you want the civs from the expansions, you should just buy Civ3 Complete; it should be fairly cheap.

Thanks for the info. One more question...how in hell do I turn off the damn birds chirping in the game? I like to listen to music while playing, and I can turn off all the game sounds...EXCEPT FOR THE DAMN BIRDS!!

I just turn off all the sounds and listen to music on my stereo. Or have the TV on in the background.
