Where is my mushroom cloud?

Nukes are neat, i lov'em... but im in a terrible situation... the part of the satisfaction you get by nuking is from the awesome nuclear explosion... My problem is that that explosion doent show, the only thing i get is a message that the bomb exploded... gee thanks, but WHERE THE F**K HAS MY BEAUTEFULL MUSHROOM CLOUD GONE!!!

this is definetly a graphical glitch...

can someone tell me what causes this? thanks

I haven't used nukes yet, does it work for anyone?

Yes, it works for some people - I've seen quite a few screenshots for example of this "stacked nuke" attack where you can get huge mushroom clouds by attacking 100 ICBMs at the same time.

I've just won my first game (Space race, warlord ) and I decided to play a few more turns and nuke the bejesus out of Tokugawa. Unfortunately for me, adding the nukes via world builder meant I couldn't detonate them. I click the big red button and click on the target then nothing happens. Occasionally the view zooms out to globe view but no explosion or anything.
I thought that maybe it was because of the no nukes pact so I voted to abolish it but nope, no change. I can't even add the manhattan project to any of my cities.
I wanna nuke!!!!!!!

Aww Nukes suck got them 3 days ago fired 30 at the same city,,,,,all shot down, i mean that's the bit i enjoy most defending my city's then nuking the **** outta thiers , but 30 nukes later still no luck

Erm..... oh I suppose that explains it! (Maybe?... still don't think I was able to detonate due to there being no Manhattan project...)

But with my comp I need to give it all the help I can get.

Yeah, I launched some nukes. All civs had SDI - tough to get one through. I think 3 out of 10 landed; not too bad. No mushroom cloud - I may have had 'quick moves' checked - I don't remember.

I think I was able to get the mushroom clouds by turning off quick moves, as was suggested above.
