Where is TOT?

Where can I find Test of Time? I have seen the upgrade patch, but not the original. to go with it.

It's pretty tough to find the original. You'll probably have to buy it used, borrow a friend's, or search the internet for it.

I got ToT the full game at a Sam's Club Store bundled with another game (Pharaoh)

I found ToT at Toys 'r us for $30 Canadian about 6 months ago.

I got it free on the cover of an Australian computer magazine.. Not sure what it was called, though.

Thanks all for your help. How long ago at Sam's Club? Where I live, (Tucson, Arizona) I have only seen CIV 3 for sale new, and I have seen nothing more advanced than Conflicts in Civilization used,and I regularly check the used computer games at local stores. Actually, I didn't even know about either MGE or TOT until I saw this web site. Can anybody tell me what the differance is between TOT and MGE? I have an MGE patch for my original CIV2 CIC. Am I missing much?
Does TOT have more tech advances or units or anything?

ToT has more features, better (and more complicated scenario tools), upgraded graphics and different game modes. However most people seem to prefer MGE, which runs more smoothly on older computers and is much easier to find people to play multiplayer with.

Is the multiplayer function on ToT compatible with that on original Civ 2 (with multiplayer capabilities)? Assuming the ToT player uses the original game option. I've newly got ToT installed on my comp, and my friend has the original Civ2, and we want to play each other!

ANd wow, aren't the graphics on ToT crazy? Sorry, im not used to seeing my people actually walk and fight. Madness.

No, unfortunately Civ2 MGE and Civ2 ToT aren't compatible with each other, however you can degrade your copy of ToT to MGE with Cedric Green's patch.

I bought it at Best Buy (Brainerd,MN) last Weekend for $10 they also had about 2 or so other copies, also saw it on gamestop.com for the same amount.

Well I bought ToT. But I regret it as soon as I installed the game. The graphic is somewhat weird and all the handy editors are gone. Whoom within two seconds I was back to good ol' CivII and all the nice scens

the graphics freked me out at first too - im used to playing playstation version, and occasionally Civ2 normal - but after a game or two, wow... so much cooler.
