Please forgive me on this but I got lost in game interface and couldn't find the palace screen button that is mentioned briefly in the manual (p27). Is there no palace screen a la Civ 3 or is it hidden under something else?

Oh nooo please! The palace has been there from Civ1! It's already a pity we don't build it anymore!
If they dared take it out entirely...

Haven't played the game, so I cannot tell exactly, but apparently it's grouped with the advisor screens. Therefore I'd suppose you go to the advisor screens and follow along. Under [civ3] it was a matter of pressing F1 through F12 and see what comes up ... Did you try that?

I wouldn't have posted it here had i not checked all the available F buttons and then going over the manual once more till the Reference Charts - Key Functions.

Apologies for stating the obvious, then. Some (newer?) members seem to ask questions without having tried the most obvious solutions themselves. :mischief:

Hrm. I finished four games now, and never saw the palast screen. I always liked that part, but it seems gone from the game. :(

In the manual, the advisor buttons are identified as the button on the top right of the screen, see also the quoted image. As the palace button is mentioned last in the list, I'd assume it's the rightmost button.

Did anybody actually use the palace screen after the first few games? With Civ 3, it was just an annoyance after about the third time.

Nah, the [civ3] palace screen didn't have any function other than to make a nice room with mixed style, did it? But if they have the screen you might as well take a peek at it from time to time ;)

It is none of the buttons you showed. Apparently the palace screen was taken out of the game at the last moment.

Taken out? How 'bout never put in from the beginning.

It could be, i was just assuming there was a plan at some point due to the reference in the manual.

That is a shame :( . Its such a simple feature that you wouldnt think takes too much time to implement... I always enjoyed wokring on my palace.
