Which Game??

Hi,

I have been away from Civ 4 for a long time. I wanted to get back into it and I wasn't sure if I should get the Beyond the Sword or the new Colonization game?

I tend to like complex strategy games which one of the games will be the best fit? I read mixed reviews on Colonization so I am not sure which game will be a bigger challange.

Also, is there a Civ 5 or another version of Civilization on the horizon?

I have never played Colonization, but reading up on it, it kind of reminds me of a few scenarios that were on Civ 3 Conquests. I think it would be pretty fun, but I like Beyond The Sword.

That's what I read about the Civ 5 update. I am sure some of the Pros on this site can give you a lot better info.

Beyond the Sword, definitely.

If you still want Colonization, wait until the first few patches come out, since it sucks right now according to the overwhelming majority of posters in the Civ4Col Forum.

Nothing has been announced yet, though I suspect there will be a Civ 5 eventually. It's too much of a money maker for Take-Two to pass up. As for Civ 4 expansions, there won't be anymore. Firaxis has more or less stated they've done as much as they're going to do with it.
