Almost always temple first, even if I'm a scientific civ. This is because at Monarch and higher, unhappiness kicks in too early (especially if the city is not connected to my trade network of luxuries), and I need to get the citizens to work.

I agree with cromagnon. But sometimes i build/rush military useful stuff first (like airport to be able to put some fresh units), e.g. when invading another continent.

It all depends on what age it is or what is happening within my game. Say i am living peacefully as the mighty Carthaginians on a monarch game. Temple first as cromagnon said except that i might rush it. Than a barracks (warmonger?Me? ), soon to follow a library and the later scientific stuff and religious improvements.

Of course, when i am at war, usually a really quick temple for gold rushing, than a barracks to get my units healthy in one turn. Or a Harbor/Airport if they already arent connected (use a leader to rush Airport if i feel i dont need a wonder or Army).

And than walls/coastal fortresses....yeah right. Walls only if i am scared to death that the AI is going to attack (diety).

I usually do Library to get quick culture (usually play scientific civs, especially Persia). If I'm in the middle of a major war and need a quick healup of my forces on the front lines, a Barracks. Sometimes a Temple if I'm short of luxuries/may not be able to connect the city quickly. Usually I try to have enough luxuries that this isn't needed.

Occasionally an Airport or Harbor, but only under special circumstances.

it depends.. coastal cities almost always get a harbor before anything, unless they have fertile land around.. then it's temple and library .. not necessarily in that order.. i get the cheaper one first.. i even pay for these early part of the game as the earlier they're built the higher their culture later in the game.

Do u guys rush build a courthouse if the city has a high corruption once u build/conquer it??
Not in first place. The (conquered) city also must have enough shields (metros). Your courthouse has no effect on waste in a far-away city with 5 shields production/turn, for example.

Scientific civ: library/unis (high culture for a low cost)
Religious: temples/cathedral (good culture for a low cost)
Coastal cities: harbor
Isolated far away cities: airport

etc. etc. it all depends...
