I'm confused I geuss Sculptris or blender which is best for win 10

I use Blender, but only because I use it to make buildings. Blender is extremely versatile, especially for a free program, but it has the major downside of being very complicated and has an unintuitive interface. If you do dedicate time to looking at the many tutorials available (and there are literally hundreds of them on Youtube and on blogs) and experimenting on your own, it can be a pretty good program to work with. That being said, I'm still in the process of learning how to use it, even though I've been using it for three years already.

So your learning to make units

Absolutely not. I'm terrible at animation so I stick with buildings and static images.

I do not take requests. Civ3 and Blender are hobbies and I only make whatever I have the urge to make.

Sculptris is for really high advanced detailed modelling. You won't see any fine detail in Civ scale. Your units will have around 1cm height in game. Blender is good enough for it.

You can use mine units from here, download links are in descriptions http://www.blendswap.com/blends/view/86224

You have there all animations you need. You have to find the way how to do own helmets, armors, shields, etc, and how to use own materials and textures. Then render it again and make a conversion to civilization 3.

@chickennex4: Same thing you've heard before and don't seem to understand. Creativity takes effort. CFC/C&C is a hobby, not a vocation. People here will help you, not respond to your every whim.

This applies to learning as well as making. Read the tutorials here, and at forums or other sites about specific software.. Experiment with making things yourself and asking questions about what doesn't work. As 576190 did. The best software is the software that works best for you. Part of our investment of time is in learning new programs. Ogedei was already a master builder (imho) before he started working with Blender. Not to say that Blender is necessarily more difficult than other programs, just that he found things to do with it he wasn't necessarily doing before.

Start with one program and after you get comfortable with it add others to your toolkit. If animations are what you want to learn how to do, you might try DAZ Studio - it's free, fairly sophisticated, and there are a ton of models out there already that you can learn on. Not to mention a wealth of tutorials. Poser is another option - although I don't know if there's a free version atm.

I charge 60$ p/h if you interested. Payment upfront.
That sounds like a bargain. Around here the instructor gets paid that much - then there's the cost of materials, presentation equipment, etc. And that's the tuition at an inexpensive community college with a class size of about 30. Private, personalized tutoring ...

Well, I can only train how to use Blender and make nice output but unfortunately until these days I don't know how to do proper palette, so chikenex has to find it himself. Do I seem to be that cheap hmmm...

Can you find me a free modeling program

chicknex4: are you at all reading the replies? We've already pointed out Blender and the fact that there are many tutorials online. Start doing some stuff for yourself instead of repeatedly begging and expecting that you are somehow entitled to a reponse.
