I think that the title mostly explains it all, but I just made this topic in order to ask which leader's music you liked the best. I am refering to when you meet a leader or click on his name and hear the music in the background while you're looking at their leaderhead. Also keep in mind that each leaderhead has three different songs, an early, middle, and late period. They're usually about the same except with a slightly altered beat or tune, but to be as specific as possible you should probably name the favorite time period of that song, as well (if you know it). For reference, and if you have Civilization IV, you can find all of the leader's songs under "Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Assets\Sounds\Diplomacy", and it shouldn't be difficult to find the Warlords music following that same guideline.

I think I like Brennus' late period music the best. It's quite a bit different from any of the other leader's musics in my opinion, mostly because of the Celtic vocals in the background. Most other leaderheads, of course, do not have vocals in their music. When the guy repeats that noise like three times in a row it gets a little annoying, but otherwise I really like Brennus' late period music. I like the girl's voice better though, for the short amount of time that it is in the song. His early period music sounds nothing like the late period to me, and doesn't stand out for me, and the middle period music is basically the late period music but starts off slower and doesn't have the woman's voice. So yeah, I really only like his late period music.

For some reason, Shaka's late period music really scares me, but mostly just at the very beginning. I don't know, something about it gives me the creeps. As it goes on it seems to have a much lighter mood, which I actually like, but it's just that beginning part that scares me a bit. Shaka's middle period music just seems plain boring and annoying for about the first thirty seconds, too, and when it finally hits a bit of a high moment it only lasts for ten seconds. Shaka's early music sounds, to me, a good deal like his middle period, but a little less boring - but I still hate it. I don't know, all of his songs sort of give me the creeps. Even Ragnar's sinister late period music (which sort of sounds cool to me) doesn't do that to me like Shaka's music does.

So, to summarize my post, I really like Brennus' late period music and all of Shaka's music either scares me, annoys me, or bores me.

My favourites are the one's borrowed from Civ3, just for the nostaligia. Probably Hatepshut's early game music is my most favourite although i've only just turned the music back on since turning off midway through last year.

Genghis Khan music in the late game rocks! It starts out slow...
*dum-dum, dumdumdumdum*

Least favorite? Napoleon.

I really like Genghis Khan's late music, too. It sounds a bit more Chinese / Japanese to me, but that's probably just because I wouldn't know what Mongolian music sounds like. Regardless, yeah, I really enjoy his late music, too. I also hate Napoleon's music - especially his early music. For some reason, to me, it sounds like music that would play in a movie when a baby is taking his first footsteps. It's really random, I know, but that is what pops into my head - especially for the beginning part.

Hatshepsut's music really doesn't stand out for me, but I didn't play the older Civilization games.

Peter the Great's music is my favorite
