I suppose it wouldn't quite have the same ring to it! I'm just happy to see that my suspicions were wrong and that her name has been translated so that it could fit in with those others I mentioned. Thank you for the info.

I'd still favour using Wak Chanil Ajaw. I've been mispronouncing foreign names and words since high school (moving to Wales was a challenge for me!) but I've coped with harder than that.

Yeah, it doesn't look like a particularly hard name to pronounce as far as Mayan names go. I can only imagine what some of the harder Mayan leader names are!
