I was wondering what Modmods you guys are playing, i seem to remember a thread devoted to this subject, but that was ages ago.

Anyone have any favorites?
I tried Wild Mana, but my machine couldnt handel it (1 minute wait between turns right from the start). Will be getting a new machine soon so I would appreciate your imput.:)

I prefer the vanilla game to be honest. I feel that the new civs that people have added just ruin the game, in my opinion all of them either cause feature bloat, are unoriginal, are based too heavilly on real life, or just don't suit the FFH setting. I also dislike many other changes that various people have made to the game such as new civics and leaders. They're just not needed.

What I like to do is modify the game myself. I don't know anything about python or coding but the excel editor is easy to use and usually enough. It lets you tailor aspects of the game to your own tastes in a way that official modmods just can't, and you can leave the things that you like unchanged. The main changes I make are to improvement yields, the yields of certain resources (marble in particular), and a few changes to the Bannor, but you can do far more then that if you wanted.

Most of the time i play Wildmana (love it) the other times i play mostly Basic FFH2
I hope for Rystic to update his Tweakmod (love the basic game with added (deletet vanilla) Stuff from ffh2) many modmods take some ideas from it (as rystic wanted it) as he said:
By all means, use what you want. I've always imagined the Tweakmod as a utility mod, where other modders can find changes they like and import them into their versions.

also i love the grigori there with:
Diverse Trait
Spoiler :

The Diverse Trait for the Grigori gives units born in their empire a random race. Not every unit will have a random race, but a good portion should. This also replaces racial UU's (eg, you won't get an Orc Hunter, you'll get a Lizardman).

Orbis is very good too, but its a little much added in my opinion
same goes to Fall Further to much added stuff.

Rife is also cool - but as mentiont i prefer Wildmana (Thank you Sephi for this cool mod"mod")

And i think FFH is not a mod its a fullgame based on the civ4 engine *smile*

greetings

I much love long games on big maps, and I think Orbis is best suited for this kind of game. I'm not really fond of new civs, but Orbis brings much more than new civs, definitely worth a try !

I'm praying every night in the hope Awharic will solve his fatal CTD bug !

I just got into Wildmana and I love it so far (btw Souljar, the turn times may start longer then usual, but they don't increase as the game goes on nearly as much as most other mods), but I'm having a hard time getting used to the ridiculous barbarians. Last night I lost a highly promoted Valin to a goblin :(

I always play Fall Further for a few weeks every time they put out a new patch/version, but my interest quickly fades due to lag and feature bloat.

Thanks for the heads up hbar:) will give it another try.
