Which Movie Is This Still From? XI

I think it is Southern Comfort.

Thought so :)

And here's the new one. Lots of anger in this movie.

Is that Sam Neill?

By the way, is Southern Comfort worth watching?

Yes.

I think it's quite mediocre film. If it's on TV I think it's worth the time but I wouldn't spend my money on it.

Edit:

Hint #2 - Sam Neill isn't the only one with rough time.

David Cronemberg movie ? Can't remember the title. Sam Neil is in a theatre at the end ?

Hmmm... As far as I know Sam Neill has never been in David Cronenberg's film. At least this one isn't directed by Cronenberg.

I was thinking of that movie, but it looks like I was wrong.

The film I'm looking for is a bit older. As a funny note it won some international film awards like best female actress in Cannes but still ended up in the UK video nasties list. I mean how many Cannes winners and Oscar nominees have done things like this?

Heh. My reputation was endangered by too easy Galactica pic on TV Still thread so I had to pick something a bit more obscure  This one's some sort of a cult classic if I've understood correctly and there's also an urban legend about the leading actress attempting suicide after seeing the finished film (though without any confirmation from the said actress it's often assumed to be a marketing hype by the director).

(At least) one more patch of hints.

The original US release of this European film was cut approximately 45 minutes as an attempt to make this disturbing drama look like a dumbed down and stupid horror movie.

In early 80's Nastassja Kinski refused a project with the director by calling it pornography.

And another still of the female lead who made one of her strongest roles on this one. Also another famous (if the word fits to such a little known film) scene.

I know it from google as well, but since nobody guessed yet: Possession? Saw a clip on YouTube, seems pretty disturbing indeed.

Hopefully I'm right, so here's the new still:

You're right :goodjob: And it's quite disturbing but also quite good.

Wait, isnt Possession the one with Sarah Michelle Gellar?

Don't know but IMDb gives 15 exact matches for the name so it's possible. The one in my pics had Isabelle Adjani and was made when SMG was 4 years old.
