Who are those newbies?

Funny... seems to me like newbies are the ones saying things like...." I have no basis for comparison, but civ3 seems like a really good game."
As for the rest of us .... "I cant believe they messed up that bad .... Until the patch comes out I'll play civ2"!!!!!!!
The veterans feel cheated because we know how much better sids games usually are.

Dam .. and who would of have thought it .. Gee .. I remember going to high school in 1991 with a 1.4 floppy with the entire install of SM's Rail Road freaking tycoon on the disk to play on the 286/12's.
But I DONT HAVE 24 posts yet ... so iMaNeWb!

Im a vet and i dont feel civ1 or Civ2 was better than Civ3 is...I mean?...what game hasnt needed a patch when first released?...duh...

The "veterans" who feel they have more say in an issue are as big of a problem as "newbies" who "don't know what they're talking about." I personally love Civ3 but wasn't a huge fan of Civ2 and never played Civ1. Because of my experience with Civ2 I decided not to try AC, but I think I am now... no reason not to.
If you don't like the game, EB has a 30 day return policy, take it or leave it.

Why are we always trying to divide ourselves into groups. When has it ever gotten us anywhere. Veterancy and other similar classifacations have no bearing on someones capacity for responsible conversation.
I also wonder why people insist on posting their opinions here when they serve no purpose other than as kindling. Well written a sensible player reviews are all well and good, but peole who don't even have the game and have never played it or people who hate it and think they have to tell everyone about it so they will to should have no place here.
